BIO

A N A is an American abstract expressionist artist

She holds a Bachelors degree in Fine Arts from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco majoring in textile design as well as a diploma in front-end engineering with proficiency in multiple programming languages

Early in her career she gained recognition by winning the International Wallpaper Design Competition in New York City

A N A s creative focus lies in producing classic modern one-of-a-kind paintings exploring the limitless language of expressionism

This distinctive method uses only pure fine-oil paint for longevity and timelessness and an array of palette knives to create natural intricate textures directly on canvas

She is the first to develop the signature Split Stitch technique inspired by embroidery stitches

Each piece is a labor-intensive process

Her technique involves building dense tactile textures in multiple layers emphasizing both depth and detail

She now lives in the South of France where she paints and continues

to refine her technique
